This is my very first Sage made of oak for the back/body, cocobolo for the fretboard and headstock, East Indian rosewood for the bridge, and kiaat for the top. It was designed to look like a simple leaf but unintentionally resembles an Ash leaf.

My amazing spouse, Emily Rogstad, was instrumental in the headstock design having the revaluation that it should keep with the theme of the body and look like a stem of a leaf plucked from a branch. Emily is a highly skilled, professionally trained crafter of contemporary jewelry, click here for her Instagram.

The decretive burns were thanks in large part by an amazing, local pyrography (artistic wood burning) artist and wonderful friend, Gabby Pulig.

This was my very first original design ever. It was originally dreamed up while on a road trip back in 2014 but it wouldn’t be build until 2020.
